How to Publish

This page explains how to submit and publish a manuscript in European Scientific e-Journal. It describes the main stages of the publication process, from manuscript preparation and registration to editorial screening, originality check, peer review, revision, acceptance, publication service processing and final publication.

For Authors

Publication route from registration to published article

Publication in European Scientific e-Journal follows an editorial process based on manuscript preparation, registration, initial editorial screening, originality check, peer review, revision where required, final editorial decision and technical preparation for publication.

General Publication Route

Publication in European Scientific e-Journal follows an editorial process based on manuscript preparation, registration, initial editorial screening, originality check, peer review, revision where required, final editorial decision and technical preparation for publication.

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication. A manuscript may be published only if it corresponds to the journal’s aim and scope, meets academic and ethical requirements, passes editorial assessment and peer review, and is accepted by the Editor-in-Chief or responsible editor.

Step 1. Review the Journal Scope

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should review the Aim and Scope of European Scientific e-Journal.

The manuscript should correspond to the academic areas and publication profile of the journal. Manuscripts that are clearly outside the journal scope may be rejected before peer review.

Authors should ensure that the manuscript presents a clear scholarly contribution, academic structure, references and relevance to the journal’s readership.

Step 2. Prepare the Manuscript

Authors should prepare the manuscript according to the Authors’ Guidelines.

Before submission, authors should check that the manuscript includes:

  • full title;
  • full author names;
  • complete institutional affiliations;
  • city and country or region for each affiliation;
  • corresponding author email;
  • ORCID and Scopus Author ID where available;
  • abstract;
  • keywords;
  • main text;
  • references;
  • tables, figures or appendices where applicable;
  • conflict of interest statement;
  • funding statement where applicable;
  • ethical approval or consent statement where applicable;
  • AI-assisted tools disclosure where applicable.

The manuscript should be submitted as an editable Word file, preferably Word 2016 or newer.

Step 3. Check Originality and Ethical Requirements

Before submission, authors should ensure that the manuscript is original and does not contain plagiarism, duplicate publication, improper citation, fabricated references or undisclosed reuse of previously published material.

The manuscript should normally demonstrate at least 70% text originality during preliminary editorial screening.

The originality percentage is a technical benchmark and does not replace editorial judgement. A manuscript may still be rejected if it contains plagiarism, unethical borrowing, duplicate publication or insufficient scholarly originality.

Authors should also check the journal’s Publication Ethics and Editorial Integrity policy, Peer Review Policy and Plagiarism, Originality and Duplicate Publication Policy before submission.

Step 4. Complete the Registration Form

Authors should complete the official Registration Form on the journal website.

The Registration Form may be completed in English or in another language accepted by the Editorial Office, depending on the author’s preference and the publication project.

The registration information should include complete author, affiliation, contact and manuscript information. Incomplete registration may delay editorial processing.

After registration, the Editorial Office may assign a preliminary article number or submission reference number for internal editorial tracking and communication with the author.

Step 5. Submit the Manuscript to the Editorial Office

After registration, the author should send the manuscript file to the Editorial Office: pub@eiid.eu.

The email should include the manuscript file and, where applicable, the preliminary article number or submission reference number received after registration.

The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the Editorial Office and for ensuring that all co-authors approve the submitted manuscript.

Step 6. Initial Editorial Screening and Originality Check

After submission, the manuscript undergoes initial editorial screening and originality check.

At this stage, the Editorial Office or responsible editor may check:

  • correspondence to the journal scope;
  • manuscript structure;
  • author and affiliation information;
  • corresponding author email;
  • abstract and keywords;
  • references;
  • text originality;
  • ethical declarations;
  • technical file requirements;
  • possible ethical or publication concerns.

A manuscript may be returned to the author for technical correction before peer review. A manuscript may also be rejected at this stage if it is outside the journal scope, lacks academic structure, contains incomplete author information or raises serious ethical concerns.

Indicative timeline

Initial editorial verification and originality check may take approximately 10 days. The actual duration may vary depending on manuscript quality, completeness of submitted information, editorial workload and the need for additional clarification.

Step 7. Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass initial editorial screening may be sent for peer review.

European Scientific e-Journal uses a double-blind peer review model. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts according to relevance, originality, scholarly contribution, methodology, argumentation, structure, references and ethical compliance.

Manuscripts are normally reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. In exceptional cases, one detailed external review together with additional editorial assessment may be used when the subject area is narrow or a second qualified reviewer is not available within a reasonable time.

Reviewers may include members of the journal’s reviewer pool, Editorial Board members acting in a reviewer capacity where appropriate, or qualified external experts. If a reviewer is recommended by an author’s organisation, the Editorial Board must still ensure that the review process remains independent, objective and free from conflicts of interest.

Review reports are confidential. They are used for editorial decision-making and may be shared with the author in whole or in part where necessary for revision.

Indicative timeline

The peer review stage may take approximately 20 days. The actual duration depends on reviewer availability, subject complexity, revision requirements and editorial workload.

Step 8. Editorial Board Assessment

After peer review, the manuscript and reviewer recommendations are considered by the responsible editor, Editor-in-Chief or Editorial Board where appropriate.

Reviewer recommendations support editorial decision-making but do not automatically determine the final decision.

The final editorial decision is based on journal scope, scholarly quality, originality, peer review, ethical compliance and editorial standards.

Step 9. Editorial Decision

After editorial screening, originality check, peer review and editorial assessment, the editor may make one of the following decisions:

  • accept;
  • accept after minor revision;
  • request major revision and resubmission;
  • reject with recommendation to submit a substantially different version in the future;
  • reject.

The final editorial decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or responsible editor.

Step 10. Revision

If revision is requested, the author should submit a revised manuscript and, where required, a response explaining how reviewer and editorial comments have been addressed.

The revised manuscript may be assessed by the responsible editor or returned to reviewers for further review.

Failure to submit a revised manuscript within the requested period may result in withdrawal of the manuscript from editorial consideration.

Step 11. Acceptance

A manuscript may be accepted only after completion of editorial screening, originality check, peer review, revision where required and final editorial decision.

Acceptance means that the manuscript has been approved for publication subject to final technical preparation, metadata verification, author information check and publication workflow.

After acceptance, the Editorial Office may request final files, corrected author details, publication forms, metadata, payment documentation where applicable or other information required for publication.

Step 12. Publication Service Charge

Submission and peer review are free of charge.

A publication service charge may apply only after editorial acceptance and only in relation to publication services. The publication service charge does not purchase acceptance and does not influence peer review or editorial decisions.

Payment status, discounts, waivers, institutional status or commercial considerations must not influence acceptance or rejection decisions.

Information about publication charges is provided on the Author Fees and Publication Charges page.

Step 13. Technical Preparation for Publication

After acceptance, the manuscript enters technical preparation for publication.

This stage may include:

  • final formatting;
  • layout preparation;
  • metadata preparation;
  • checking author names and affiliations;
  • checking corresponding author email;
  • checking references;
  • preparation of PDF or other publication files;
  • DOI registration or inclusion in publication metadata where applicable;
  • inclusion in the journal archive;
  • publication on the journal website;
  • repository or indexing preparation where applicable.

The Editorial Office may contact the corresponding author if additional information or correction is required before publication.

Indicative timeline

Final technical preparation and publication after acceptance may take approximately 7 days. The actual duration may vary depending on publication schedule, issue preparation, metadata processing and technical workload.

Step 14. Publication and Author Notification

After final preparation, the article is published as part of a regular issue, special issue, thematic collection or conference-based collection.

Published materials are made available through the journal website, archive pages, article pages and repository infrastructure where applicable.

The Editorial Office informs the corresponding author when the article has been published.

Where applicable, the author may receive a Certificate of Author or other publication confirmation document after publication.

European Scientific e-Journal is an open access journal. Readers may access published materials free of charge.

Copyright, licensing and reuse conditions are described in the Open Access Statement and Copyright, Licensing and Permissions policy.

Publication Timeline

The duration of the publication process may vary depending on manuscript quality, reviewer availability, revision requirements, editorial workload and issue schedule.

Indicative timelines may include:

  • initial editorial verification and originality check: approximately 10 days;
  • peer review: approximately 20 days;
  • technical preparation after acceptance: approximately 7 days.

These periods are approximate and do not constitute a guaranteed publication deadline. Publication is possible only after completion of editorial screening, originality check, peer review, revision where required, final editorial decision and technical preparation.

The regular publication schedule of the journal is described on the Publication Frequency and Schedule page.
