The Editorial Board may participate in or support the following areas of journal activity:
- development of the journal’s academic profile;
- preliminary academic advice on manuscripts where appropriate;
- peer review or reviewer recommendation;
- assessment of scholarly relevance and originality;
- support for publication ethics and editorial integrity;
- advice on special issues, thematic collections and conference-based publications;
- improvement of author guidelines, editorial policies and publication quality;
- support for indexing, international visibility and academic communication.
Editorial Board participation does not replace the journal’s formal editorial decision-making process. Final editorial decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief or responsible editor in accordance with the journal’s peer review policy, publication ethics and editorial standards.
Peer Review and Editorial Independence
Editorial Board members may act as reviewers or academic advisers where their expertise is relevant and where there is no conflict of interest.
The journal follows a double-blind peer review model. Reviewer selection, reviewer recommendations and editorial decisions must be based on academic relevance, scholarly quality, originality, ethical compliance and editorial standards.
Editorial Board membership does not create automatic acceptance of manuscripts submitted by board members, their colleagues, institutions or collaborators. Any potential conflict of interest must be disclosed and managed according to the journal’s publication ethics policy.
Conflicts of Interest
Editorial Board members are expected to avoid participation in editorial assessment or peer review where a conflict of interest exists.
Potential conflicts may include:
- recent co-authorship with the author;
- direct institutional dependency;
- personal or professional relationship that may affect impartiality;
- financial, academic or organisational interest in the publication outcome;
- participation in the research project under review.
Where a conflict of interest is identified, the manuscript should be assigned to another editor, reviewer or editorial representative.
Editorial Board Updates
The composition of the Editorial Board may be updated when new members join the journal, when affiliations change or when members complete their editorial service.
The journal aims to keep Editorial Board information accurate and transparent. Names, academic qualifications, institutional affiliations and country or region details should be reviewed and updated regularly.
