Interweaving Globalization: The Complex Tapestry of Economic Security and Media Education

About this Book

This edition presents a monographic study of the relationship between economic globalization, economic security, and media education in the contemporary world. The book examines globalization as a multidimensional process that transforms national economies, educational systems, labour markets, information flows, and models of social development. Special attention is given to the economic security of the state, including the risks created by global markets, transnational corporations, financial instability, technological dependence, and the weakening of national economic sovereignty. The author analyses different paradigms and models of economic globalization, including Euro-Atlantic, neoliberal, eclectic, and synergetic approaches. A significant part of the monograph is devoted to Ukraine’s position in the global economic space and to the need for an effective national model of economic security. The study also explores the role of education in the era of globalization, showing how media education can influence competitiveness, employment, innovation, and sustainable economic development. MediaStar School is presented as a practical case of an educational platform that connects media literacy, digital learning, professional training, and economic transformation. The book considers media literacy as an important tool for combating misinformation, improving trust in information sources, and strengthening the quality of public communication. It also discusses online education, educational platforms, digital transformation, immersive technologies, and strategic planning in the global educational market. Through economic, educational, and media-focused analysis, the monograph demonstrates how knowledge, technology, and information competence become essential factors of modern development. The publication is intended for economists, educators, media researchers, policymakers, students, and specialists interested in globalization, economic security, digital education, and media literacy.
